Last weekend I ventured out with the Iris Mayhem Photography group to one of Miami’s long lost historical landmarks, the Miami Marine Stadium.  The stadium is in complete disrepair and covered in graffiti as you can see from the photos.  However, the graffiti brightens up the otherwise abandoned structure and has transformed it into a meeting place for photographers and artists alike. 

The scariest part of being there was the delicate trek across a wooden catwalk to a thin metal ladder that leads up to the roof.  Getting up and down that was enough to give the bravest person butterflies in their stomach.  It was well worth it though as we saw the sun set against the skyline of Miami and the beautiful colors melt into the night.
